WHAT IS THE GLYCEMIC INDEX:
Glycemic is 1. The ranking of foods with high sugar (carbohydrates) levels which represent the relative rise of the blood glucose/sugar levels two hours after consuming of such foods and 2. The ranking of low glycemic foods which are slower to digest, absorb and metabolized and cause a lower and slower rise in blood sugar and, therefore, cause slower rise in usage of insulin levels.
